Jeff LaBar of Cinderella and Juan Croucier former Ratt bassist.

Uh-oh. Can you say premature ejaculation?

The following is a statement released by former RATT bassist Juan Croucier (MySpace) who seemed to be pretty excited about his new band member.

JUAN CROUCIER (EX-RATT) AND JEFF LABAR (CINDERELLA) JOIN FORCES IN JUAN CROUCIER’S DIRTY RATS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

JUAN CROUCIER (EX-RATT) AND JEFF LABAR (CINDERELLA) JOIN FORCES IN JUAN CROUCIER’S DIRTY RATS!

September 15, 2008

Los Angeles – Juan Croucier of Ratt fame has updated the lineup of his band.  Jeff LaBar (Cinderella) will now take over lead guitar duties in Juan Croucier’s Dirty Rats.  The band also includes John Medina on Drums (formerly of Bret Michaels’ solo band).  Juan Croucier, "I am extremely pleased to introduce Jeff LaBar as the new lead guitar player for the band!  I have always greatly admired Jeff’s guitar playing, as well as his exceptional stage presence.  Clearly, he’s a world-class guitarist.  We’re both known for our live performances, so I can’t wait to hit the stage with Jeff!  This band is truly going to kick serious ass!"

The Dirty Rats will begin playing fly-in shows throughout the United States before the end of the year and also plan on touring the US with a multi band package, early next year.  There are also plans to begin recording a new record early next year, for release next summer.  The bands set list currently includes most of Ratt’s major hits, as well as other surprises.

Dean Swett of The Paramour Group manages Juan Croucier’s Dirty Rats.

Less than 48 hours later a statement from Jeff LaBar (MySpace) contradicts the press release by Mr. Croucier. Exciting? No. Entertaining, sure. Does anyone care? Probably not.

The good thing is that Jeff didn’t quit Cinderella or turn down an obvious choice to stay with his band, unlike some other Individuals.

Freakshow & Dirty Rats

Category: Music

To whom it may concern,

Contrary to Juan Croucier’s press release regarding me (Jeff LaBar) playing with his "Dirty Rats", I unfortunately must announce that I will not be able to do so. Priorities & prior commitments prevent me from pursing this. I must apologize to Juan & those fans who may have been looking forward to this but the announcement may have been a bit premature. I am first & foremost a member of "Cinderella". In addition to that, I just completed recording with Frankie Banali, Tony Franklin & "Miss Crazy’s" Markus Allen Christopher with an exciting new project we’re calling "Freakshow". Those of you who are in touch with these internet rock sites & Myspace may have heard about it. I have very high hopes for what we think is a fuckin’ kick ass cd, which starts mixing today & I am very much committed  to. I wish Juan the best of luck in the future & hope he & all you "Ratt" fans will forgive me & check out "Freakshow" when the time comes. I would also like to thank the "Cinderella" fans for your patience & loyalty as well as let you know, if you love "Cinderella", wait till you get a load of "Freakshow"!

Sincerely,

Jeff LaBar

Fun fact: Juan Croucier has had zero downloads and a total of 2 plays today on his myspace juke box.

Looks like things are really taking off for the Dirty Rats, good thing they have management and multiple sites to promote the project.
