Every so often we get an e-mail from our old pal Phil Varone about his latest venture. Some of you old skooler’s will remember Phil when he played drums for Saigon Kick, and after that he did some time in Skid Row as well. That helped his gnarly hunger for pussy, drugs, rock n’ roll, and A LOT more drugs.
Soon he found himself close to death, and his fun and games turned into a Documentary titled "Waking Up Dead". Well after all the Monkey Business, and landing right on death’s door, Phil figured why not laugh about it. He’s been hosting a "Sex, Stand Up, Rock & Roll" show at the world famous Improv in Hollywood for a few years now.
We’ll hand it to Phil, he’s got balls. He’s done most everything but went platinum, like many other jack offs in this business – he ain’t going away. And we say this with all respect. He’s not a shy guy, and pretty much lets the truth be known. Some of it, maybe better left unsaid. Matter of fact, if memory serves – this guy talks about dildo’s in his ass, 3-somes with mother daughter teams and some other whacky shit. If you never watched "Waking up Dead" maybe you should. The guy is on the phone with his girlfriend saying good nite and I love you from the road – all the while drunk as fuck, doing coccaine and strippers sucking his cock on film for all to see.
Dude is the real deal.
Now the latest is that Mr. Varone will appear on a Dr. Drew’s episode of sorts called "Sex ReHab" this fall. It features other notables like former porn star and long time Sludge friend Kendra Jade and Amber Smith.
