Acey Slade Announces Re-mix contest, Release date for new EP.

She Brings Down the Moon EP to include a fan re-mix. Band to perform begin performing under the name ‘Acey Slade and the Dark Party’.

Hot on the heels of a successful UK tour, Acey Slade plans to release ‘She Brings Down the Moon’ EP on August 4th, with Pre-Orders starting on Tuesday July 24th. A EP release party, free to the public, will be held on August 3rd at Greenhouse NYC and will include an performance by the band at 11:30.

Acey released ‘Sex, Murder, Art, Baby!’ EP earlier this year as a limited/numbered version that sold out almost instantly. Non-limited versions are now available at the bands MySpace page.

The ‘She Brings Down the Moon’ EP will come with a newly designed sticker, guitar pick and kick ass ‘Trigger Case’ package. The disk will include 8 tracks. 4 Re-mixes, 2 Album tracks and 2 exclusive tracks plus the video for for ‘She Brings Down the Moon’ directed by former Toilet Boys and current Theo and the Sky Scrapers guitarist Shawn Pierce.

The EP offers fans a chance to take advantage of new technology via Acid Planet and have their Remix appear on the EP. ‘ACIDplanet™ Contests let you be the producer.

This EP will also mark a slight change in the name to be more inclusive of the band.

‘After working with the same line up for 1 US tour, and 1 UK tour and several regional dates it’s become clear that Andee (guitar/vocals), Chris (Drums), and PerC (Bass and Keyboards) are very dedicated and talented musicians who deserve to be acknowledged in their own right. So, the guys and I have decided to start working under the name Acey Slade and the Dark Party.’
