According to the Nuestro Diario newspaper, GUNS N’ ROSES’ April 13, 2010 concert in Guatemala City, Guatemala was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
“I feel sad and helpless in this situation,” Pedro Michelena, the president of the company in charge of the event, Success Music Entertainment, told the newspaper. “We know that thousands of Guatemalans had the intention of seeing GUNS N’ ROSES.”
GUNS N’ ROSES was scheduled to play a single concert tonight at Estadio El Ejército, which has a capacity of more than 15,000, but only about 3,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the event, according to the paper.
Concert organizers said in a statement that they will announce within 72 hours how ticket holders can go about getting a refund.
As previously reported, GUNS N’ ROSES’ April 9, 2010 concert at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Jose, Costa Rica was cancelled due to a faulty stage setup. The production agency 28 Producciones, which was in charge of the event, sent out an apologetic email to fans and members of the press.
