Triple bill w/LA Guns-Warrant-Quiet Riot cancels in OZ!

A metal festival featuring a triple bill of Quiet Riot, Warrant and La Guns scheduled for next week has been cancelled at the last minute.
The three bands, notable for being big in the 80s hair metal scene, were scheduled to perform at Auckland venue The Powerstation on Monday night.
But a press release issued by promoter John Baker today confirmed the event had been cancelled, with the venue blaming inexperienced Australian organisers for the cancellation.
“The Metal Health 2011 show featuring Quiet Riot, Warrant & LA Guns show was being promoted by Australian promoters Intense Impact,” the press release said.
“Intense Impact initially fulfilled all obligations required of them by the Powerstation and Ticketmaster to allow them to stage an event at the venue. This allowed them to announce and promote the show, and publicly issue tickets.
“In the last month, it became apparent on many levels, that Intense Impact were not equipped, nor experienced, to stage this event.
“Their ability to deliver this show, by meeting their responsibilities to ticketholders, the artists and local suppliers became severely compromised, and the show is now cancelled.”
“These circumstances are unfortunate and were not under the control of the venue. The Powerstation apologises for any inconvenience caused by the actions of Intense Impact.”
