This absolutely gorgeous 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS5 Convertible was Nikki Sixx’s (of Motley Crue) personal car, his every day driver last year. We found this car for him, when he told us that he wanted the baddest SS Chevelle Convertible that we could lay our hands on. He has thoroughly enjoyed this Chevelle and anyone who knows him will tell you how much he loves the car. He recently purchased a brand new Ferrari California so it’s time for a brand new owner to enjoy this awesome machine. This beautiful 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS5 Convertible underwent a frame-off rotisserie restoration about a year before we found the car for Nikki. It was a no-expense spared, complete nut & bolt restoration so everything was either restored, rebuilt or replaced. All of the sheet metal is laser straight all of the way around the car and the panel alignment is perfect. The factory correct (Code 75) Cranberry Red w/ Black Bucket Seat Interior, White Convertible Top & White Stripe color combination is absolutely stunning. The paint is beautiful and looks like it’s a mile deep. All of the stainless trim is brand new, as is the weather stripping. The original bumpers were triple chrome plated and look perfect. Slide into the all-new and factory correct interior and you will instantly notice that this car came loaded with factory options such as Strato-Bucket Seats, Center Console, Tinted Glass, Rally Gauges w/ Tachometer, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Convertible Top, Sport Steering Wheel, Auxiliary Lighting Group and AM/FM/8-Track Stereo. The gauges, lights, blinkers, power windows, power top, etc., work perfectly! Pop open the hood, and nestled inside the nicely detailed engine bay lies an LS5 Turbo Jet 454/365 hp engine (NOM), linked to the heavy-duty TH400 3-Speed Automatic Transmission which feeds power to the 3.55 Posi-traction rear end. During the restoration process, the engine & transmission were completely rebuilt and run beautifully with no issues whatsoever. Power Steering & Power Disc Brakes make driving effortless and extremely enjoyable, but when it’s time to get somewhere quick, apply your right foot firmly and this muscle car will shred the asphalt like you would expect from an LS5 454 Chevelle! The front & rear suspension, as well as the complete braking system were also completely rebuilt. She drives straight & true, even on the original Firestone Wide Oval Bias Ply tires, and you can get her on the freeway and take your hands off of the wheel. This is a classic car that you can get in and drive from coast to coast if you wanted to. Again, Nikki drove this car every day from Malibu to Los Angeles without so much as a hiccup. Nikki really wants the car to go to someone who will appreciate and enjoy the car the way it should be. He is an avid automobile enthusiast, and again, he really loves this Chevelle.
