Hollywood — After a 3 year disappearing act – former Vains of Jenna voice Lizzy DeVine has resurfaced to the rock n’ roll world. The original Swedish sleaze rocker will appear at the annual “Cruefest” in Hollywood California this Saturday July 27th.
Vains of Jenna was co-founded by DeVine in Faulkenberg Sweden in January 2005. The band was stateside 6 months later and blew minds. In 5 short days the band went from the “Whisky-A-Go-Go” stage to Redrum Studios to record “The Demos“ with Gilby Clarke (Guns N’ Roses). After a short UK tour the band was back in the states by the summer of 2006 and storming the Sunset Strip like no other band had since the 80s.
The band was quickly signed to Bam Margera’s label Filthy Note which released the bands follow up “Lit Up Let Down“ in late 2006. The band toured clubs with everyone from Wednesday 13 to L.A. Guns – but soon graduated to arenas and amphitheatres when they landed the 2007 Poison/Ratt North American summer tour.
The band then went on a terror tour playing 300 shows in 15 countries and released “The Art of Telling Lies“ receiving rave reviews. The band developed a worldwide cult following with the help of relentless roadwork. But like all good things they must end and soon the band found itself burned out. It seemed that slowly the glitter of Hollywood turned to garbage and the singer threw in the towel.
Now as quickly as he exited – he has announced his return with little warning. DeVine seems to be back and ready to rock! The singers tweets below seem to suggest he misses the road, rock n’ roll and is itching to get back on stage.
