wow, it’s been 2 years since i got the horrible and the sadly expected news that my dad had passed away. i just wanted to make a post not for attention but to bring attention to the amazing man that he truly was. his music spoke to millions and was unfortunately for the most part, besides cherry pie and heaven, underrated. it makes my day to think people would put my dad’s music on when they were having a bad day, or felt like they had no one there for them, or just felt confused and didn’t know what to do with themselves. once his career sort of died down, he started battling alcoholism, which i’m telling you from someone who’s been there to see and experience it, is not an easy thing to fight. he was such a strong man and through all the tough times and hardships we ever had, i still loved him. and it sickens me to think i finally have the respect for him and his music that i should have had when he was still around. but, i was young. obviously there’s still some things that went unsaid between me and him, but i hope right now he’s looking down on me, proud of what he put onto the earth. me and my wonderful sister Taylar Lane. i love you dad, and i’m overjoyed to think you’re somewhere else in a place where you don’t have to battle your demons anymore. your legacy will definitely live on. LONG LIVE THE 80’s! thank you thank you THANK YOU for everything you’ve taught me along the way dad. some of the things you’ve told me i’ll never forget. god bless you.
