Sharon Osbourne’s kept this secret for so long she can’t remember all the details.
As part of a new season of The Talk on Monday, during the “Big Secret” segment, Osbourne, 60, revealed that she had a fling with Jay Leno a long time ago.
“It’s not like it’s a dirty little secret,” she said nervously before telling her story. “When I was 25, I just moved to America,” she explains. “I didn’t know many people.”
That would have been 1978, we figure.
“I had met my husband [Ozzy], but we weren’t together. We were just friends. I didn’t have a boyfriend. I never did date a lot at that time, anyway, because I was not very dateable.”
She went to club where a friend of hers worked. She saw Leno performing his comedy routine, and Osbourne told her pal that she thought he was “very nice, very funny.”
She told her friend she liked him and they prank phone called him.
“He liked my voice,” she admitted, so she kept calling him.
“One thing led to another,” she continued. “He came to my house and met me and then we had a little fling. The fling was more fling for me and not fling enough for him,” she said, calling it a “flingy-wingy.”
Leno had eyes for someone else. “A couple of months into it he brought around the real love of his life for me to meet. She was lovely and they took me to Fat Burger and they showed me around town,” Osbourne said, adding, “They were so kind to me and continued the friendship over the years.”
The audience gave her a standing ovation. When asked if the sex was good, Osbourne said, “It was so long ago!”
Leno, 63, is known for his long-lasting marriage to Mavis, whom he wed in 1980. He has not commented on the revelation so far.
