Bret Michaels Is Coming To REVOLUTION As Himself!
Alright, so I gave Revolution a shot, and just didn’t care for it. It was pretty week sci-fi which is unfortunate given the relatively cool concept, but I just couldn’t get into. But I did watch about six episodes, which was enough time for me to get a feel for the show, and its general tone. Needless to say I didn’t think it was the type of program that would pull in bizarre celebrity guest stars. Much less musicians. Much less musicians playing themselves.
That’s right, former Poison frontman Bret Michaels is coming to Revolution, as himself. He’ll be a post apocalyptic version of himself who has somehow survived the lights off disaster, and has promised to play an acoustic version of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” I feel like it’s April Fool’s Day, but apparently not.
From Eric Kripke, creator and executive producer of Revolution: “Bret is truly a great guy. I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on Revolution.”
I’m sure Bret Michaels is a great guy but WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING SINGING ON YOUR APOCALYPSE SHOW? This is one cameo I can’t in any way wrap my head around, and current fans, please tell me, would this not be incredibly jarring to you? I feel like it’s like Axl Rose showing up as a member of the Dharma Initiative on Lost.
