Metal Sludge — In the latest Straight To Video podcast, the guest is original TigerTailz frontman and solo artist Steevi Jaimz.

Jaimz, 60, talks at length about all things related to his long music career that started in 70’s with his love of bands like The Beatles, Black Oak Arkansas, Wings, Aerosmith and RUSH who were his first ever rock concert in 1977.

Straight To Video host Rob Lane takes listeners on a journey with Jaimz who has stories for days.

* Jaimz talks about discovering his favorite band ever, Black Oak Arkansas and their frontman Jim Dandy
* Talks about his family and some of their music related experiences from collecting singles to playing instruments
* Details are shared about his audition for Tokyo Blade in London in the early 1980’s
* Jaimz talks about his love for the bands that soon became the British heavy metal invasion, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden and Saxon
* The band Treason is discussed, which is where Jaimz first met drummer Ace Finchum
* Jaimz admits he can’t play guitar, but wrote lyrics and melodies to everything starting from demos to studio recordings that were released internationally
* That the first ever gig with TigerTailz was horrendous, and they were pelted with pint bottles
* Jaimz says he also loved glam bands like Sweet, Slade and Wizard, but didn’t care much for Bowie or T-Rex
* Jaimz and his run-in with Skid Row and Sebastian Bach in a London pub is also covered
* The singer talks about his love for American bands like; Aerosmith, Boston, Kansas and Meat Loaf
* Jaimz on various excursions to Hollywood in 1985 and 1987 hanging out with Poison and Warrant
* Jaimz hit California again in 1991 where he auditioned for Cherry St., got the job but bailed soon after which found him living with Stevie Rachelle of Tuff – more on that in Tuff Diaries #14
