Jim & James Gillette on Opie Show with rebuttal to recent Lita Ford claims
Opie Show — In the on-going Lita Ford vs: Jim Gillette series we bring you the latest.
Gillette and his eldest son James were guests on the Opie Show with Jim Norton (SiriusXM) Tuesday March 2nd.
The pair were on the show speaking out about the most recent claims from Gillette’s ex-wife Lita Ford after she appeared as their guest back on February 24th.
Ford is currently on a promotional tour pushing her new book “Living Like A Runaway” (Harper Collins).
During her apperance the famous hosts struggled to understand some of her story about the bitter divorce and custody battle with Gillette.
Opie said; “This doesn’t make sense” in regards to Ford’s claims the kids were taken away from her for speeding and that their Father had given the boys ‘brain washing books‘ at summercamp.
At one point Norton asks Ford; “Was there anything like, anything like….cause something doesn’t make sense. That he was able to get away with this. Were you partying at one point and then you stopped?”
“No, no absolutely not” said Ford.
The Opie Radio show has labeled it as the “Lita Ford Debacle” on their youtube channel.
During part of their post wrap-up on the interview Jim Norton says; “That was very uncomfortable. I started to panic into that interview.”
The show hosts expressed that they felt the need to give Gillette a chance to answer these allegations after admitting they were unprepared and seemingly unaware of the history between the two.
Gillette and Ford married in 1994 and have 2 sons together. James who is 18 and Rocco is 14.
Opie and Norton both hit Jim and James with some tough questions.
James details several as he calls them ‘episodes’ that happened between the family and Ford.
One incident included James being hit by a kitchen pot. James says; “Sometimes it wouldn’t even be on purpose. She would just be in the kitchen throwing sh?t. Like ya know, pots and pans and sh?t….and all of a sudden one would hit me, and knock me the f??k over.”
The older son also claims at some point his younger brother Rocco (age 9 at the time) was ‘body slammed’ into a door knob by their Mother.
James also details the infamous speeding incident in which a Child Protective Services representative was present in the vehicle.

Dear Lita,
The emails below are more examples of your unending, irrational and deplorable behavior.
The email at 4/30 could actually be viewed as a threat. Please refrain from engaging in such unwarranted and despicable conduct, as it’s completely unnecessary and doesn’t help your situation with the boys.
If you spent as much time trying to mend the bridges with our sons, as you spend looking for someone else to blame, your situation with them would have gotten better rather than worse over the last couple of years.
You can’t continue doing the same thing that originally caused the boys to distance themselves from you. And expect anything but further distance.
It’s unfortunate that your actions and conduct alone have caused such turbulence between yourself, James and Rocco.
What’s even more unfortunate, is that you continue to sabotage any hope of ever allowing James and Rocco to forgive you for the reprehensible way you’ve treated them. And for all the disgusting things you continue to do.
Please refrain from making further accusations as copied below, about me, or James and Rocco’s Grandfather.
I continue to remain respectful, even though you’ve been anything but respectful of us.
I cannot continue to accept you’re out of control behavior.
Me and the boys have the right to live free of this constant abuse.
I continue to encourage communication between you and the boys, but you do not have carte blanche to continue bad acts.
