IS THIS TOUR ON YOUR LIST? ….. FOZZY hits the road in May on their ‘Twisted Faith Tour 2026’ with select U.S. dates

FOZZY and their “Twisted Faith Tour” includes major U.S. festival appearances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, with support from Flaw, Spineshank, and Who On Earth.

ON THE ROADFOZZY are currently in the middle of a U.K. tour that is packing venues front to back with their legion of diehard fans.

Next, the band will be stateside this spring with a May run… their ‘Twisted Faith Tour‘ which will take them from Florida, to Pennsylvania, over to Illinois, up to Michigan with stops in Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio included.

FOZZY have been active since forming in 1999 which started out mostly as a gimmick with the band’s name originally being Fozzy Osbourne derived from the late Prince of Darkness and globally loved Metal Icon Ozzy Osbourne.

The original band featured founder & guitarist Rich Ward (Stuck Mojo) who according to Wikipedia played with whatever musicians were available on a week to week basis, that is until he met Chris Jericho after a wrestling event and Ward invited Jericho to jam with the group.

That impromptu jam with the Wrestling Superstar obviously created a bond between the pair and in 2000 Jericho became the band’s official singer, who along with Ward have continued to march forward ignoring any outside noise or naysayers.

Jericho has famously been mocked and ridiculed by former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach with comments like; ‘I’m Just As Much a Wrestler As Chris Jericho Is A Singer‘, but the Canadian born multi-tasking entertainer was not phased.

Jericho took to Twitter in 2021 writing: “I’ve been told that @sebastianbach continues to go out of his way to bury me. My response is this…be my guest! You are entitled to ur opinion & it doesn’t affect me either way. I still dig ur work on the first 3 @OfficialSkidRow albums & look forward to ur new record.”

Over the past 25 years FOZZY have released 8 studio albums, 1 live album and have secured themselves a legitimate hit song with their track “Judas” from their 7th album of the same name released in 2017 (Century Media Records).

The video for “Judas” clocks in at 73 million views, which for the record is the same count (73M) as Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” and oddly it has a higher count than the entire Mötley Crüe or Ratt catalog of their respective videos/songs found on YouTube.

It should also be noted that Bach seemed to start his attacks on Jericho around the same time that “Judas” was really starting to take off, and it was at this point that FOZZY hit a much larger mainstream music audience.

Metal Sludge took a glance at Bach‘s catalog of solo videos as seen on his official Youtube channel, and it appears that the former Skid Row screamer’s biggest single has 2.4 million views, where FOZZY have 8 clips with views in the millions… the top 5 being; “Judas” @ 73M, “Painless” @ 13M, “Burn Me Out” @ 6.1M, “Fall In Line” @ 4.9M and “Sane” is @ 4.6M.

Comparing the two by the numbers on YouTube...

Bach launched his channel in 2006 and has 88k subscribers with over 250 videos and 16 million views.

FOZZY launched their channel in 2013, they have 164k subs with just 14 videos and 72 million views.

The “Judas” single really helped establish FOZZY with continued rotation on rock radio, its time on several music charts and relentless touring by the band… so much so that in 2022 (5 years after it was released) the single was certified Gold by the RIAA.

What started out as a gimmick has taken on a life of its own with a lot of hard work and dedication by both Jericho and Ward – who are for what it’s worth – the band’s Gene & Paul!

The FOZZY lineup features; Jericho (Vocals) and Ward (Lead Guitars) along with Billy Grey (Rhythm Guitars), P.J. Farley (Bass) and Grant Brooks (Drums).

It might be safe to say, that their accomplishments are beyond rare in a world where hard rock, and ’80s tinged music in general struggles for even the biggest of bands… but of course there are some exceptions like Steel Panther who also took an initial gimmick of an idea and turned it into global success.
