OZZY Barking at the Moon!
According to Ozzyhead.com: Ozzfest co-founder Sharon Osbourne is apparently unrepentant about her attempt to sabotage IRON MAIDEN’s last appearance on this past summer’s edition of the festival. But Ozzy Osbourne himself told Launch that he wasn’t exactly sure what happened that night, and wanted nothing to do with it either way.
"I had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with what went down, because I do not condone any of that kind of crap," he said. "Even though the singer was saying bad things, so I heard, I never heard it ’cause I’d never went and seen them. But that very night, the bass player (Steve Harris) comes into my dressing room and said to me, ‘I’d like to apologize for our singer.’ I was absolutely confused what this guy was on about."
As reported throughout the Internet, including an article published on KNAC.COM, Sharon Osbourne told a magazine interviewer that she hated Dickinson but still respected his band, explaining, "The band are actually really nice guys, but the singer has a chip on his shoulder…He never once thanked us for the tour. People don’t behave like that. I tell you, though. This guy got the singer with a fucking egg right in the middle of his brow — what a star!"
This shows you how out of the loop OZZY is on his own festival. Rumors have detailed that many people on the OZZFEST crew were well aware of what was about to go down that night, except of course OZZY. No doubt Sharon threw a blinder on the old OZ when all of this was unfolding. Likely the same blinder he is wearing when he agrees to do 25 summer shows and she books him on 50.
Now it’s weeks later and OZZY seems to know little of what did go on. This after the entire rock n’ roll planet has discussed it, taken sides, and has tried both sides in the Internet court – so to speak. Poor old guy, what can you say but it could be worse. He could’ve married Rosanne Barr.
