Facebook — As the Great White saga continues. This chapter was written by Mark Kendall in a statement posted on his versions – official Great White facebook page.
The bands long time guitarist and a founding member notes that he has been threatened with “violent physical bodily harm in writing” by former drummer Gary Holland.
This is not the first time that Holland has went public with comments aimed at the band.
Holland contacted Metal Sludge in June 2010 and wrote the following which he requested we publish.
“I am just glad Jack has lived long enough to witness his own ruin because if anyone deserves it, Jack Russell does. I am coming at him with everything and armed with the finest counsel money can buy. The real TRUTH, which Great White Fans are not aware of, will finally be revealed.
Before this is over, I will own the name GREAT WHITE just so I can bury it where it belongs”.

Holland was the bands drummer during the early years (1981-1984) and ironically (a short 2 years after the above rant aimed at Jack Russell) Holland took to the stage with Jack’s version of Great White. The reunion included bassist Tony Montana for the bands “30 Years Later” show at the “Whisky-A-GoGo” in Hollywood. The show was part of the annual Sunset Strip Music Festival and was Holland’s first performance with Great White in 28 years.
Now one would think that things seemed to be ‘okay’ with Jack and Gary if they had shared the stage. But based on the message below from Facebook – it appears that all is not well with both versions of Great White and Gary Holland.
Great White has many fans and followers both old and new. From the early days of “Stick It” and “Street Killer” to “Lady Red Light” and “Once Bitten Twice Shy.”
Metal Sludge says best of luck to all the guys, from all the line ups, over the many years. And we hope all can be settled without anything of the sort.
