Rock Harvest co-founder arrest record for “Resisting An Officer” – Ironic to say the least, considering their Fallen Blue charity
Metal Sludge has continued to dig into Rock Harvest – a concert that has became a debacle for the ages. So, what did we find now?
We found that Rock Harvest co-founder Lyle Hawkins has an arrest record. One arrest that we found includes multiple counts, including resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.
Now we understand, everyone has skeletons in their closet. But found it oh too ironic that this arrest was for ‘resisting an officer’ when their concert and related charity (Fallen Blue) are claiming to raise funds for officers killed in the line of duty. We agree it is admirable that they want to help. But we also find it odd that one of the events co-founders was arrested for disobeying the law in this manner against the very officers they claim to want to help and support.
We also find it to be an odd match that John Guarineri – the other Rock Harvest co-founder claims to be a Federal Police Officer with the Secret Service. Guarineri talks in depth about their related concerts and charity in an interview HERE and talks about his position in the Police world.
We’ve done additional research, but have yet to uncover any information about John Guarineri’s official position with any law enforcement organization, or the academy he may have attended of graduated from.
Another portion of the Q&A from the above interview is screen capped below. We found this especially entertaining to read considering the state of Rock Harvest and the way Guarineri and Hawkins have mishandled many of this years musicians and related acts.
According to FloridaArrests.Org a file found HERE shows Rock Harvest co-founder Lyle Hawkins’ mugshot and details of his arrest.
Below is a list of bands who have been advertised and promoted by Rock Harvest as “confirmed acts” and appearing at their event. The promotions for this event started in December 2012, and have continued for 11 months with online promotions, posters & ticket buy links. Hawkins himself has continued to promote full color posters pushing sales for tickets to see many of the bands names below on his own personal facebook page well into the month of September. Many weeks and months after these bands had dropped from the bill. We personally have asked Hawkins to remove these posters and we have been ignored.
To date, over 30 bands are no longer appearing on Rock Harvest.
